Many past Rams Head performers were on the red carpet last night for the Grammys… but there were two, in particular, who will arrive at the Rams Head within days.
Sara Bareilles will fly out of LA to head East before she plays at Rams Head On Stagethis Thursday and Friday (sold out). Miss Bareilles donned the red carpet in a pink fluffy (technical terms) dress, accented with some kickin’ red heels.

Bareilles who was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance(“Love Song”) had this to say about coping with the Grammys red carpet,
This is people throwing elbows. This is like a football game…but I sipped from a flask earlier and I was fine.” – Sara Bareilles
We know she’ll be more than fine when she plays to the sold out house on Thursday and Friday! We look forward to rubbing, not throwing, elbows with you!

Also joining the A-Listers on the red carpet was Estelle who will be playing at Rams Head Live on February 22nd. Estelle was nominated for Song of the Yearand Best Rap/Sung Collaboration “American Boy,” Estelle featuring Kanye West.
Estelle who took home the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “American Boy” said she in fact does have an American Boy who accompanied her on the red carpet!! Other interesting facts she unveiled on the E! red carpet was that her favorite Crystal Light is Pomegrante Cherry and that she and Kayne West met many years ago outside of Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles .
From waffles to Grammy’s, Estelle knows the right steps to success. Congrats on your Grammy!

This morning started off with a bang. I skipped (aka drove) down to ‘RNR to record our new Rams Head On Stage spot with the ever magical and always charming Rob Timm. Nailed a sweet parking spot right by my destination. Followed up my appointment with a short walk to City Dock Coffee with my favorite sales guy Terry P. to grab a yummy mocha. I finish the trip by dropping some goods off at Zachary’s Jewelers to help support their cool Love Letter Contest. The skies were blue, the sun was shining and all was right with the world. Then it happened. I hopped out of the car, grabbed my 2 mochas (one for my coworker ’cause I’m nice like that), grabbed my bag, grabbed my phone…spillage occurs. I’m covered in foamy, chocolatey mocha. There’s coffee in my hair, coffee on my scarf (white!), coffee on my coat (also white!!), coffee on my phone – which at this point is now flying across my office. It lands with a thud on my floor…in two pieces. Stellar.
I move on to my next task of the day – the blog. We caught some awesome footage of the uber talented British crooner James Morrison’s WRNR Private Artist Showcase on our nifty Flip camera yesterday that I’ve been dying to share with you all. 8 hours later…my dang computer still can’t manage to be friends with my Flip. So no video either.
Crunchy hair, broken phones and cranky computers will not break me. I WILL bring on the James Morrison love. It was a pleasure to have him here with us in Annapolis. Hope he comes back again real soon. Enjoy.
So you bought your tickets to the show the second you heard the announcement and you’ve been looking forward to this night – to this party – for the last 3 weeks. When the night arrives, you dip out of work about 20 minutes early and rush home to shed the required uniform and coordinate car pools . Now, you and 1 to 7 of your closest friends have debated various parking solutions, checked your pockets countless times for your ‘print-at-home tickets’, cruised the venue for the perfect line of site, and finally that moment arrives. The bartender asks, or yells if the opener has already started:
“And for you?”
We’ve compiled a brief run down of you, your drink of choice, and what that tells the world about you:
The Sales Director @ The Black Keys:
Drinks Diet Coke with a side shot of Jameson.
“Get a quick buzz on the sneak”
The Hipster @ High on Fire
Shoots a Jack Pickleback (Jack Daniel’s shot with a pickle juice chaser)
“If you don’t get it, you don’t get it.”
The House DJ @ Lady Gaga
Sips an Extra dirty Kettle One Martini in a plastic solo cup
“Go Big. Burn Bright!”
The Tattooed Girl Next Door @ Iron Maiden
Drinks Van Gogh Espresso Vodka on the Rocks
“You don’t know me.”
The Recent-College-Grad-Temp-for-Hire-Receptionist @ Legwarmers
Pounds a Sugar-Free Redbull and Rail Vodka.
“I’ll grow up when I have to, but not a second sooner.”
The Bros @ Greenegenes
Drink Bud Light and a Tuaca shot.
“I love you man.”
The Fanny Pack @ Hall and Oates
Drinks a Long Island Iced Tea, and orders a Mango Margarita for the little lady.
“Daryl Hall is the greatest male vocal of the 80′s, 90′s and today – no, seriously. Have you ever really listened to ‘Sarah Smile?’”
The Oil-on-Canvas Painter @ Mos Def
Drinks whatever you’re buying.
“I’m broke.”
Did we miss one? What was the last show you saw and what was your inner rock star thirsty for?

One of the most rewarding goals the Rams Head works towards year-round is the Chad William Muehlhauser Education Fund at the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
As one can imagine, we are asked daily for donations to support worthy causes in our communities. As a result, we have chosen to make one large donation in the community in hopes of making the greatest impact.
Nearly 10 years ago, the Muehlhauser family elected to make that impact by establishing long-term relationships, designating specific funding that could be counted on in budgets, always specific for children’s programming
.
In 2007, the program was thoughtfully determined to focus on the National Aquarium in Baltimore. The location of the program was closely located to both Rams Head Live and Pier Six Pavilion. But most importantly, the Muehlhauser’s were connected to the program through the memories and love of their youngest son, Chad.
Young Chad Muehlhauser was entranced by the Aquarium. To honor his memory, in 2007 Chad’s family created The Chad William Muehlhauser Education Fund, in the hope that supporting the Aquarium’s education programs will allow children to experience the same excitement and connection with the aquatic world that had so delighted Chad. -Aqua.org
The Rams Head family is proud to say that in little over a year we have donated over $50,000 to the Chad William Muehlhauser Education Program. And we are even more thrilled to say that we are committed to contiously giving back to them well into the future.
Each time you buy a ticket to a show at Rams Head On Stage, Rams Head Live or Pier Six Pavilion we a make a donation on behalf of your attendance. Thank you for being such an intergral part of this program.
We are hopeful that you are able to share in the same joys that the Muehlhauser’s share and embrace in memory of their son, Chad.
