OMD are coming to Baltimore, wahoo!

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark is back and the band is more eager than ever to play shows for their fans. And guess what folks, we have ‘em coming to Rams Head Live on September 19. We are very excited and we think you should be too! Their sound is best described as synthpop and it’ll take you back to the ’80s and make you wanna dance!

The original lineup reunited in 2007 to tour together and don’t you worry they’re still as great and entertaining as ever. The band released a new album last year entitled History of Modern which recieved some great reviews (of course!). Well the band is back this summer with a new live album that was released on August 22, OMD Live in Berlin, and take it from us, it’s awesome! Frontman Andy McClusky discussed the live album saying, “We see it as a way to share our life on the road with the people who have been there with us for the span of a career. It’s something we’re excited to experience with our fans.” Not only does the release include the live tunes but the deluxe package also contains “a hard back book from the tour, never before seen hand written notes, recent letters from the group to their fans and a selection of lyrics”. If that doesn’t show the type of love and respect they have for their fans then I don’t know what does!

Check out this old-school video of the song that you will most definitely remember from Pretty in Pink… kick back, listen, let it take you back in time and then get your tickets for the show on September 19!
