It’s that time of year again. Time to pull the window A/C units out of the attic, add to that resume and whip up a generic answer to “so what are you up to this summer?” The Rams Head Promotions department is currently looking for a few good interns to work in our office as a marketing intern either for college credit or the love of great music and food.

Ready to hear more? Read through the Rams Head On Stage and Rams Head Live/ Pier Six Pavilion office intern descriptions, print out your resume and this application, and get them back to us by April 30th and get ready for the shenanigans to begin!

And now, a message from our sponsor. Okay, so she’s really our current office intern, but this girl knows it all…

“Being a Rams Head office intern has been an amazing experience. The internship has given me an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes at a top music venue and I have gotten great hands on experience. I highly recommend this opportunity for anyone who wants a start in the music industry!”

Amanda

So there it is. Tell your friends. Tell your neighbors. Tell your great aunt you know exactly what you’re doing this summer, but most importantly rock on. \m/

Dover, DE – The Fordham and Old Dominion Brewing Company will be presenting “The Blues Brothers” on April 25, 2012, as part of their Movie Night at the Brewery series.

With the doors opening at 7:30 pm, guests will have the opportunity to view the Blues Brothers on an outdoor screen at the brewery, located at 1284 Mc D Dr. Dover, DE, and enjoy three beers and a popcorn for the price of $5. The brewery asks that individuals bring a blanket or chair to sit on and a can of food for the Shepherd Place Homeless Shelter in Dover. Additionally, the sale of Bier Dawgs and Root Beer will go to benefit the Shelter. Seating is limited and tickets are still available at the brewery.

Jim Lutz, President and CEO of Fordham and Old Dominion, stated “The brewery staff firmly believes in giving back to the community that has welcomed and supported us, so using a fun event to raise awareness for a local charity is a no-brainer. We picked the Shepherd Place to benefit from this movie night because half of their clients are children: no child should have to grow up homeless.”

Fordham and Old Dominion have been brewing high quality beverages in Dover, Delaware since 2003. They provide tours of the brewery (located at 1284 McD Dr., Dover, DE) and provide samples of their products, such as Scotch Ale, Oak Barrel Stout, Baltic Porter and Copperhead Ale every Wednesday at 5:00 and 6:00pm, Friday at 4:30 and 6:00pm and Saturday at 12:30 and 2:00 pm.
About Wisteria Wheat:

The Wisteria Wheat beer was named by the first Fordham brewer, Allen Young and the Rams Head Tavern General Manager, Corky Fertitta. “Allen and I were sitting on the patio one spring day, tasked with coming up with some sample names for beers for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Fire Arms. All beer names have to be approved by them before you can sell it. We came up with a couple random names then hit on Wisteria Wheat, it had a nice ring to it and the wisteria vine on our patio is well known. All these years later we can’t remember any of the other names we came up with that day, but wisteria wheat stuck, and has been, ever since, the name of one of our most beloved seasonal”.

The Wisteria Wheat utilizes a pale malt, malted wheat and torrified wheat and has an ABV of 5.8%. Fordham Brewer brews the Wisteria Wheat with Perle hops and chamomile and it has 11 IBUs. Interestingly, its flavor primarily comes from the Weizen strain of yeast, which gives it notes of banana and clove.

According to Fordhambrewing.com, Wisteria Wheat is the perfect brew to enjoy the beautiful days of spring. Wisteria Wheat is a medium body beer with a soft, velvety carbonation and a wheaty finish. This easy golden brew is sure to bring you and your friends together all spring long. Additionally, Fordham’s Wisteria Wheat won ‘2011 Best of Washington DC Beer Selection’.
