Rams Head The Blog

Blogging about food, fun, & beer

Fo Fo Fo…. who says there has to be one Christmas a year?  The Rams Head restaurants are gearing up for the celebration of Christmas in July on Monday, July 25th.  Rams Head will re-release Fordham Brewing Company’s holiday brew, Doppelbock for one day only!

Doppelbock will be tapped when doors open at 11am.  “We want to thank our customers for demanding this popular brew two times a year. And, if history repeats itself, this brew will be around for one day only”, says Rams Head Tavern Annapolis General Manager Corky Fertitta.

Each Rams Head locations will be filled with holiday decorations, holiday tunes, yummy eggnog, drink and food specials, and a chance to win tickets for the Silopanna Music Festival on August 27th at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds.

Doppel is German for double; Bock is German for strong beer. The first Doppelbock was brewed in the late 1600’s with a rich and malty bitterness taste. According to Walter Trifari, Head Brewmaster of Fordham Brewing Company, “Doppelbock is exceptionally smooth, full-bodied dark lager with a bold character that is sure to brighten your spirits. This beer also pairs well with rich roasted foods or German chocolate cake’.

Rams Head invites you to celebrate this annual tradition with us.  Hope to see you on Monday!
