Gusterrhoids! In case you didn’t know (neither did I), that’s what Guster calls their fans. No matter how Guster-licious you are, I really don’t think anyone could be more excited for their summer tour than Guster themselves. I mean, have you seen their website? It’s all they talk about! Here are some things to get excited about:
- They will be releasing a 6-song EP on August 2 called “On The Ocean” which will feature b-sides from “Easy Wonderful,” along with live acoustic tracks and remixes.
- They’re all about offsetting their carbon footprint while on tour (basically, having less of an impact on the environment). While at the show, you can learn how you can offset your carbon footprint as well. You can check out http://www.reverb.org/project/guster/ for more info!
But wait, there’s more! Jack’s Mannequin is co-headlining the show! Andrew and the gang have a new song, “My Racing Thoughts” (also released August 2) which will be off their upcoming album, “People and Things,” released October 4, 2011!
Last but not least, Ra Ra Riot will also be rocking the pier. Exploding onto the scene, Ra Ra Riot’s got two full-length albums under their belt and will put on a performance that will surely rock the night of August 7.

Mostly excited to see Guster, but also very excited to see Ra Ra Riot. Not familiar with Jack’s Mannequin, but I always have my ears and mind open to new (to me) music. Also, I’m free on 8/7!

Kind of a trip down college memory lane for me. Andrew is incredibly nice, and I can’t wait to hear his stories about the music at this great venue! Great contest!
An amazing line up- but i am dying to go see Guster! The last time I was able to see them in concert was during senior year at the University of Delaware. It was a sort of perfect trip- the first Guster concert I ever saw was during my freshman year with my dorm-mates …..and it is very fitting that the last concert I saw them at was during my senior year in 2005 – yet again with all my old dorm-mates. It was our celebratory last “guster” concert together!
Not only do I really want to win tickets to go see Guster- but I can guarantee a bunch of my old college friends (some if whom I have fallen out if touch) will be there too! Guster really brings back some great memories from those crazy four years of my life, which is why I am most psyched to see them next Sunday!
