Being in the music business our Marketing office is always looking to bring strong acts to our clubs. We try to pay attention to whats “hip” in the music world. So, last night our team plugged into the social media outlets to keep everyone updated on the 53rd grammy awards. It was a night filled with over-the-top performances and surprise wins, from Rams Head alumnus Avett Brothers performing an unforgettable “Maggies Farm” with Mumford & Sons and legend Bob Dylan to Relative newcomers Bruno Mars, B.o.B. and Janelle Monae who had it all in their set.
We also saw 2010 Pier Six Pavilion alumni such as Train bring in a win for ‘Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group with vocals’. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, Rihanna was heating up the stage with Drake. Remember him heating up the stage last summer at the Pier! ooooo baby!
Hottie Country Star, Dierks Bently who has also performed a sold out show at Rams Head Live presented with other country star, Zak Brown. And, American rock band , Switchfoot wins first grammy with album’ Hello Hurricane’.
And, how could we forget our Rams Head On Stage alumna, Florence…Florence Welch, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride and Yolanda Adams, opened the Grammy ceremony with a medley of Franklin tunes. It was all good until Christina almost fell off the stage. That poor girl needs a break!
So, with all these great Rams Head past performers rocking the grammy’s last night, we’re looking forward to some of the new acts to perform at one of our clubs coming up… who will it be? Check out the list of artist that our marketing office picked from last nights grammy award winners/ performers to make our own mix tape! Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s day from us!

My fiance and I own our own business together which we actually opened up before we were even engaged! When we started out on the craziness of opening the business I knew he was the man I was going to be with for the rest of my life. So, making the decision to completely jump off the path I was headed down (I had just finished grad school with a degree in neuroscience) and open up a sandwich shop (yes, a sandwich shop!) with him was the only choice for me. As we began the insane project of a complete renovation and re-make of our shop, I knew that this shop was exactly what I was meant to do in my life. We opened our doors this past June, followed quickly by a proposal in August! As we began planning our wedding the theme pretty much jumped out right at us without even trying….. sandwiches! We’re now trying to pull all the details together, but the plan is to have a “picnic lunch” theme….but without the picnic setting! We are having a church ceremony with a semi-formal reception in late August of next year, with a seated dinner in the evening inside of a vineyard (actually an old airplane hangar that has been converted into a vineyard!). But even so, we want to have all the details revolve around something that is just so *us*….. lunch! Even though it sounds crazy to most everyone else, for us it is exactly perfect and couldn’t make any more sense
