Thursday, August 25 | Hotel California A Salute to the Eagles

Hotel California was founded with the intent of filling the void left by the demise of The Eagles in 1982. By blending their extraordinary vocal and musical talents, Hotel California faithfully and accurately reproduces the sound of the Eagles studio recordings while recreating a classic sound which undeniably transcends the boundaries of Rock, R&B, and Country while delivering a modern, action packed performance that brings this timeless music into the new millennium.

Sunday, August 28 | Jessica Lea Mayfield w. Jonny Corndawg

The 21-year old from Kent, Ohio first performed with her family band One Way Rider at the age of 8. At age 15, she recorded her first album White Lies in her brother’s bedroom, printing only 100 copies. One of those copies fell into the hands of Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys). After an introduction, Mayfield and Auerbach hit the studio, laying the foundation for her debut album With Blasphemy So Heartfelt. Says Auerbach of the recording experience, “I think she’s dark and moody in a mysterious way.” He adds, “I’m just always really excited to make music with her.”

Thursday, September 1 | Bob Baldwin & Marion Meadows with special guest Poogie Bell on Drums

NY native Bob Baldwin is unquestionably an unsung hero when it comes to the Contemporary/Smooth Jazz genre. The keyboardist, multi-instrumentalist and producer was influenced by pop, jazz and R&B and his uncomplicated and upbeat sound proved perfect for smooth jazz radio.
A protege of Joe Henderson and Eddie Daniels, Marion Meadows later served a long stint as a member of Norman Connors’ Starship Orchestra; after a series of session dates and sideman gigs, he made his solo debut in 1990.
Bob and Marion are joined on stage by Poogie Bell who has played most notably with Eryka Badu, Marcus Miller, and Luther.

Wednesday, September 7 | Blackberry Smoke

“We don’t pull any punches about calling this Southern rock because that’s what it is”, says Blackberry Smoke frontman Charlie Starr. “It’s what we think new Southern rock should sound like.” Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, bassist Richard Turner and drummer Brit Turner are indeed sons of the South, but their considerable chops recall The Swanee River Boys and The Stanley Brothers as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers.

Friday, November 4 | Oleta Adams

Since the runaway success of her 1990 debut album Circle of One (which went Platinum), and the impassioned hit single “Get Here,” Oleta Adams has inspired a growing legion of fans in the U.S. and Europe with journeys of the heart via songs that draw deeply from her roots in gospel, while crossing effortlessly into the realms of soul, R&B, urban, and popular music.

Sunday, November 13 | Bobby Long ALL AGES MATINEE

Bobby Long believes in making up for lost time. The young British singer-songwriter didn’t even start to play guitar until he was 17, but from then on he’s been creating memorable songs inhabited by hauntingly poetic lyrics. With model good looks and an engaging smile, he is a formidable presence even before he begins to sing. And when he does sing, it’s with a heart-wrenching soulfulness that crushes any chance for apathy. It’s a voice that simply demands attention. Now armed with an enviable repertoire of material and a legion of loyal fans cultivated through non-stop touring, this force of nature will be impossible to ignore.

Wednesday, November 30 | Vanilla Fudge

Beginning in 1967, Vanilla Fudge rocked the world with a new sound, influencing a generation of musicians and creating a legion of loyal fans. Vanilla Fudge was one of the few American links between psychedelia and what soon became heavy metal. This ever popular and influential band, and its original members, Mark Stein, Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, and Vince Martell, are once again touring and recording together.

Monday, December 5 | Christmas with Aaron Neville & His Quintet feat. Charles Neville

Over the past five decades, the indelible spirit of New Orleans has been synonymous with the musical dynasty known as the Neville Brothers. For Aaron Neville the solo artist, there is an equally intimate connection between his music and the faith that has sustained him for his entire life. Through challenge and tragedy, he’s managed to thrive, protecting both his heart and his voice. Ask him how and he says simply this: “He who sings once, prays twice.” Join us for a Christmas tradition when Aaron Neville returns to Rams Head this winter.
