Here’s the scoop on what we announced and put on sale this morning.
JUSTIN JONES & THE DRIVING RAIN
Monday, December 20

Within the songs of Justin Jones are stories from a life lived long enough to know heartache, loneliness, addiction, and lost love. But the 29-year-old Virginia native has not lost touch with a youthful spirit that imbues his music: raw excitement, romance, and optimism. “Even the sad songs,” he says, “have a sort of romantic hope in them.”
DOC HOCHMAN’S MARDI GRAS DIXIEBAND
*all ages show*
Saturday, March 5

The Doctor of Jazz, Rick Hochman, and his Dixieband will again bring excitement to Rams Head On Stage, featuring outstanding Jazz and Blues musicians and the piano artistry of Dr. Hochman. Join us for this all ages Mardi Gras extravaganza!
LADYSMITH BLACK MAMBAZO This second show has been added due to popular demand!
Tuesday, March 8

Internationally regarded as South Africa’s cultural emissary, Ladysmith Black Mambazo first came to popular awareness through their extensive contributions to Paul Simon’s Graceland album. Time does not seem to be slowing down at all as the band continues to travel the world, meet new friends, reach new audiences, and spread their message of, “Peace, Love and Harmony.”
RACHELLE FERRELL
Friday, March 18

Although Ferrell has captured the jazz public’s attention as a vocalist (with a “startling six and change octave range”), she continues to compose and write songs on piano and violin. Ferrell’s work ethic has paid off, and Dizzy Gillespie’s early predictions about her becoming a ‘major force’ in the jazz industry came true.

Saturday, May 7

An independent musician with the heart of a geek, Jonathan Coulton is your “classic” Yale graduate and computer programmer turned professional musician. Covering unusual topics not often heard in music, Jonathan consistently turns out music that even the most jaded listeners enjoy time and again.

feat. Lazy Lester, Mark Wenner, Jerry Portnoy
Wednesday, April 23

Come hear the masters of the blues harmonica jam out and entertain you. Together they represent a variety of bands including Little Charlie & The Night Cats, John Hammond, Robert Cray, Carlos Santana, Muddy Waters, and Eric Clapton.
