It’s been over 15 years since the release of the groundbreaking Exile in Guyville. The record was released in 1993, and ranked 1 that year on both the Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll and Spin magazine’s year-end critics poll. Incredibly influential to this day, its place as a seminal rock album has been reaffirmed by its inclusion in countless historical “best of” lists over the past 15 years, including: Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” Tired of working with record labels, she chose to release the material herself. Funstyle was appropriately released on her own website in July 2010, with the bhangra-influenced “Bollywood” becoming the album’s first single.

The fearless leaders of The Bridge have traveled an enormous distance to get where they are; all the way from living off-the-grid on a remote Hawaiian farm—in Kenny Liner’s case—and chafing in the buttoned-down corporate world—in Cris Jacobs’—to making a formidable album that’s fed by hometown roots and laced with wanderlust. It’s called National Bohemian, a nod to both the Baltimore-based sextet’s beloved local brew and their creatively rewarding but often unglamorous hard-touring lifestyle. It’s also the work of a dexterous band of players to be reckoned with. And it’s available February 1, 2011 on Woodberry Records/Thirty Tigers.

One man band and Rams Head favorite Keller Williams returns to Baltimore for a very special solo show. Anyone has seen one of Keller’s live shows knows that these are can’t miss affairs – he has been called the guitar’s mad-scientist, a one-man-band for the new millennium and dozens of other clever sobriquets dreamed up by fans and music journalists trying to get a handle on his uplifting and ever-shifting style of music.

After taking an exciting retro, rootsy labor of love detour to give a shout out to the masters of Irish song past and present on their 2007 429 Records debut “With All Due Respect, The Irish Sessions”, the Young Dubliners drew inspiration from the trials and tribulations of the past few years on the road. There they have encountered their share of, to borrow from an Irish proverb, “poets and patriots, saints and sinners”, inspiring the title of thier new release Saints and Sinners.
